Maplewood Dog Retreat Offers Cage-Free Boarding

  • 6 individual houses are available — four are 8x8 and two are 10x10 for families with multiple dogs.
  • Each house has its own fenced and covered patio.
  • Each house has a radio on when the dogs are inside.
  • Each house is equipped with an aromatherapy diffuser.
  • Each house is heated in the Winter and fan-cooled in the Summer.
  • Each house is tiled inside, ensuring a clean environment for your dog.

 

Outdoor Areas

  • Dogs are brought outside 3 to 4 times a day in 1 of 2 common outdoor play areas.
  • Dogs can play in the fenced kennel area (gravel footing for better drainage and cleanliness).
  • Dogs can also play in a fenced-in one acre grass field.
  • Play time varies between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the time of day and is always supervised.
  • Dogs may also be walked individually or as part of a group depending on the owners wishes and the sociability of the dog.
  • A baby pool is also available in the kennel area for those hot Summer days.
  • Dogs get daily hands on attention.

 

Rates

  • $40/day/dog all inclusive, including HST
  • $20/day for every additional dog from the same family sharing accommodations.
  • We charge an extra $10/day clean up fee for dogs who have accidents in the kennels.
  • We take a limited number of dogs (such as intact males or dogs that don't get along with other dogs) that require individual exercise time. An additional $10/day will apply for these dogs.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least two (2) days prior to your arrival time otherwise a minimum charge of two days will apply.

Business Hours

Pick Up and Drop Off Hours:

- Monday to Sunday: 8:00am to 10:00am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Please note that the kennel closes every year for the month of January.

 

What you Need to Bring:

  • Vaccines: Proof of vaccinations (Rabies, DHP core vaccines which cover distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus, and kennel cough). We also strongly recommend that your dog be on a preventative flea and parasite program.
  • Blanket, bed or crate if used regularly at home
  • Favorite toy(s)
  • Food and treats
  • Brush
